learning & growing
Our family believes in living naturally - the only medicines we trust are emergency medicine and natural medicine. A clean, healthy diet of whole, unprocessed foods goes a long way in preventing many of today's health woes. After our first daughter was born in 2006 in a hospital, we chose to give birth to the other three at home. This began our journey towards a more holistic way of living.
When Kelly tested positive for Lyme disease in 2017, she chose to treat it with herbs rather than pharmaceuticals. This started her deep dive into plants as medicine. Once she was on the other side of Lyme, she began her formal studies in herbalism.

top to bottom: plantain, sorrel, cleavers, comfrey
Raising good food
We raise our animals using regenerative farming practices, moving animals daily and leaving the soil rich for growing grass to feed the sheep and produce for our family.
We avoid the use of chemicals and antibiotics and we process the poultry on site ourselves.

Growing plant medicine
The quality of the terrain isn't stripped of nutrients, but improved through conscientious pasture management.
This rich soil helps us grow our own plant medicine: comfrey, sage, cayenne, cleavers , sorrel, red clover, echinacea, and so much more!
Farm Life
botánica herbal is hosted by O'Connor Family Farm in East Berlin, Pennsylvania.
Here our family raises soy-free, non-GMO, pastured poultry, eggs, and lamb available to the public.

Teaching the Medicine of the Garden
Herbs are powerful, and knowledge is power. I believe everyone should have the knowledge to build their home apothecary, the understanding of how to take care of illness in their family, and the wisdom to take personal responsibility for their own health.
Sharing the gift of plants that God gave us is a passion of mine - its power is awe-inspiring. Collaborating with other practitioners allows me to continue growing my proficiency while helping others discover the blessings of plant medicine.
